I have a 02 Gt. Race at the track regularly. Have Hurst Billitt Plus short throw. I am told by speed shop I cracked the plastic guide that the shift handle snaps into. They also told me that I can't buy that piece seperate from the dealer. I think many people have "mangled" these plastic pieces and consequently have shifting issues. Does anyone know where I can get these parts or what I can do to remedy the problem.

You were told it was cracked.BUt what is the issue you are having?
But there is no "guide" the shifter fits into.It goes straight in to the socket on the shifter rail.There is a small piece thats in the rail to stop noise and such..

I looked at the ford cd and found Ford part number 7K453 Damper sleeve is what your looking for.
