Hi all. I got a few questions about my 90' GT Shifter...I am installing a Tri-ax shifter on my T-5 Tranny, and I noticed that all 4 bolts are gone from the Shifter trim ring/boot. Does anyone know what size these 4 bolts are? View attachment 327128

Also, this is an 05-08 mustang shifter knob. I strongly approve of it Would this fit the T-5 Tri-ax shifter?

Thanks!!!

my bolts where gone to and i used self taping screws and it worked perfectly. and as far as the knob you can always make it work if its to big use tefflon tape if its to small stip it on. i know this is horrible advice and they do make shim kits fot these applications. hold on i will find some

EDIT: steedas website list knobs ranging from 79-04 and 05+ so i doubt it will work properly

Yeah, I figured that for the shifter knob. I might just go with the stock knob for now.

Yes, that knob will fit on a Tri-Ax shifter...that is what I have. You will need to cut off the bottom collar though, but you won't notice it once you cut it off.

However, as comfortable as those knobs are....the top part tends to pop off. Mine popped off a few times, even after super glueing it back in place, it finally popped off for good.

I got the tri-ax from 5.0 resto.com, and it came with a Bullitt shifter, so I could use that too. It just seems a bit too "old school" for me. I have a 97' cobra also, and I love the OE shifter on that too. Too many options!!!

Not sure what variety Autozone carries. Any place that carries small metric bolts would work. There's nothing special about the bolts. To be specific they are flange head, 9.8 grade bolts but any correct size bolt should work. They're only holding down a trim plate.
