shimming pedistule mount rockers???????

somebody told me it's possible to shim pedistule mount rocker arms? is that possible, if so, would that be the small steel plate under each cylinder's rocker arms?

also, i heard that all i have to worry about is that the rocker depresses the valve spring 20 thousands of an inch... would shimming this help or hurt de[ressing that spring? this ****s all new to me, so any help would kick ass! thanks


oh, and if it matters any, the heads are cast iron gt-40's

Go Here And Download The Head Install, Or The Rocker Arm Install


If the valve train geometry is off then you will need shims or an adjustable pushrod in order to find out what the correct length is. Shims are cheaper and faster, but it depends on how far off the pushrods are to begin with.
