shock adjustment

I have a pair of some old Monroe gas-matic shocks in the rear of my 92 LX. Everytime i go over a bump or dip at like 20-25mph, that plastic piece that cradles the gas tank bottoms out. I was wondering if i can raise my rear end up an inch or two just by adjusting the shocks?

I don't think you will be able to get 1 or 2 inches out of a shock adjustment. The springs are what set the height of the car. While shocks might add a little, maybe like a 1/2 inch if they are really strong.

Try replacing the spring isolators maybe. Although, I don't think there is 1 or 2 inches to be gained there either.

What springs are in there now?

I believe they're still stock springs

migth as well replace the springs if they are stock..and probly original...if ur gonna hit the strip and the stret go with some eibach drag kit with the airbag

i was looking at those w/ the airbag incedentally, also thinking about tokico 5-way adjustables...good setup?
