shock/strut settings

I have a set of Tokico adjustable shocks and struts. They have the nice little dial settings that you can simply adjust with a flat head screw driver. I decided I wanted to play with them and noticed that all four are set to "3" on a scale of 1 to 5. Could someone save me the time of chasing my tail and be able to tell me if "1" is the hardest setting or would "5" be the hardest setting?
