what combos are u guys using i have bone stock suspension and have been thinking of many ways to go

i want a real nice drop something like an eibach sport line

and want fully adjustable shocks and struts

what combo would u recommend for some one

who mostly street races but will be doing a lot of track time once im tuned and something that my stupid friends with imports wont make fun of when i take a turn :bang:

I have a mixed salad of suspension parts but my car handles damn good. Just got it aligned at Steeda today. The Strange adjustable struts are out and replaced with Tockico. Wow, what a ride quality difference.

You could get one manufacture like Maximum Motorsports which offer packages. Steeda, Griggs and Kenny Brown also have them. Seems your looking for a street package so stick with that.

My set up:
QA1 tubular K-Member
Stock A Arms
Steeda bump steer kit
Tockico Illumina Struts 5 way adjustable
Pro3i Caster/Camber Plates
FRPP 5300-C Springs
Steeda sub frames
Steeda upper/lower control arms
Steeda adjustable rear sway bar
Steeda strut tower brace

I dont have adjustables, but do have Eibachs and Tokicos (that Shane hooked me up with) and it handles pretty nice IMHO.
The Tokicos made a large difference IMHO (I think it is hard to find a decent damper for lowered cars with their inherantly stiff springs).

Good luck.

Joe, glad to hear you finally got it aligned. :nice: Been thinking about MM CC plates, which would mean alignment time for me too (though not at Steeda. :hail2: ).

Wow, thats interesting. Are the Tokico's more of a road race setup? I know the strange stuff is more Drag orientated.

I really like my setup. I have Strange adjustable shocks and struts, the front end pops up real nice on the low settings. I also have an MMR drag race coil over kit for the front and Steeda springs in the rear with UPR LCA's and solid roller adjustable UCA's. Good set up for the strip, but you can feel the expansion cracks more with the solid roller rear UCA's.

Chad, you are correct. The Strange struts are very soft even on the hardest setting. The Tockico's are for AutoX and road racing. I like the tightness of the 5 ways. Also like the adjustability setting under the hood rather than at the bottom. My suspension now is not for drag racing. Its more a road racing set up now. Just need to do the rear shocks.

How long can the stock shock\struts lasts with let's say Sportsline and MM cc plates correctly adjusted ?

I couldnt find any spring rate info on the sportlines to compare them to stock, but I know the sportlines are rather soft, so in that dept. you should be fine. Im not sure how long they would last with that much of a drop, though. IMHO, the c/c plates would affect the tires more than they would the shocks & struts.
