Shock Tower Allignment

If your export brace is set correctly, before you panic - I'd take it to a local vendor (Since your in Easton - try Glazier's Mustang Barn) and compare it to one they have in stock. There is a chance that it's a poor quality reproduction part that is mis-made. Try the simplest answer first before you start trying to bend and modify.

Well I dont plan I using that export brace, I want to use the TCP one, though when i noticed that the wholes did not line up, I got the stock one out. I'll have to get some from specs and make sure everything is square.

DO NOT drill any holes, doinf so will compromise the towers. like everyone else has said you first need to support the front end by the engine crossmember ONLY for at least overnight, probably for a few days to let the towers relax. doing that still may not be enough to get towers to movi to the right position so you may have to tweak them with a Port-A-Power to get them right where they need to be. supporting the front end entirely by the torque boxes can make the front end sheetmetal twist in strange ways. for what it's worth when i tried to test fit my export brace it was just about as bad and my shock towers are original. still haven't progressed to the point where i need to install the brace yet though

No, 68FBJJZ109's brace is cupped downward. It may only look like it's cupped upward to you because of the shadowing and highlights similar to this illusion where you can't tell if a cube is protrudung or sunken.

If you study 68FBJJZ109's brace more carefully you will see that it's cupped downward.
Please review the photos on post #8 i downloaded them and zoomed in and they are cupped up I.E installed correctly i dont wont to make this a pissing contest i just wanted to make user i did not have it wrong.

Yes the brace is mocked properly, I may not be a mechanic but i am not retarded. Also I am not using that export brace, I have the TCP one. The reason i got the old brace out is because the wholes are way off.I will take some more picture to show you guys the problem with the wholes. Just my trucks drive shaft grenaded while driving to work, and i have to replace the drive line from the transfer case back so that is kinda priority. Thanks for the interest though guys.

Here's a (part of) a frame chart drawing. It's for a 65 Mustang, but since Export braces are listed to fit all 65-70 Mustangs, I would assume that the 34 7/16" measurement should apply to your car also.

The adjustability of a brace like TCP's is nice, but with a regular one (provided it's made correctly) you can check the state your shock towers are in.
