On my 66 coupe I am still sorting out all the options on front suspension.

When looking at retaining the factory configuration and attempting to drop 2" (or so) using 1" drop springs and the Shelby drop modification I was wondering if this drop can be limited or altered by the compressed length of the front shocks?

QA1 shocks are 14.4" extended and 10.57" compresssed. Then the Summit G7603 are: 15.0 extended and 9.8" compressed. (I have not located Koni specs so far)

Can this make any difference in lowering results?

TIA

No. Conventional shocks can be dropped an inch or two without compromising function. Certain shocks have grooves cut in the bore to smooth the ride, which would be a problem at non-stock height. This would not be a problem with Konis, Kayaba KYB Gas-A-Just, etc.
