I'm getting ready to order some Tokico adjustable shocks & struts for my Mustang, but I still have one question. Do they come in different lengths? It seems to me that a Mustang with stock springs would need different shocks/struts than a Mustang with a 1.5 - 2 inch drop. Is that right?
The dude I just talked to at Houston Performance seemed to think it was a one-size-fits-all kind of setup. I wasn't sure so I didn't order anything yet...since my car is dropped. Which is right??? Thanks!

from an engineering standpoint...
the differential equation for a mass spring system is

mx'' - cx' - kx

therefore k (the spring constant) depends on x the position and
c (the dampening aka shocks/struts) only depends on x' which is velocity and not the actual position it is in...

yea i didnt wanna get into all that, so i just stuck with the simple answer. :bs:

That's good to know. The reason I was so concerned is because I was into offroading before I bought my 5.0, and there are tons of different lengths available for the same shock. Granted, I'm not lifted or dropping my Mustang 4-6 inches, but still I wanted to be sure. Thanks for the advice.
