Shopping for a 99 Cobra, some q's

I would not worry about the Fix as a major factor for not buying the car. Most of the vehicle's had this done. The TSB otherwise known as the "fix" corrected that issue. I had it done to my old 99 Cobra and noticed a before and after difference. One way you can tell by looking at the vehicle if it was done is a PCM reflash update sticker under the hood. This would most likely be on the front support in front of the radiator. Also a blue or green dot on the intake manifold. They corrected the problem by addressing the intake either acid dipping them or extrude honed them or a new one, reflashed the ecu and replaced the catback with a much less restrictive one. You can call 1-800-FORDSVT and give them the vin.

With the Fix being done, the 99 and 2001 are on par performance wise.

I ran 13.7 stock. It will take practice though so don't get frustrated.

As for 350 rwhp NA, that might be expensive, but can be done with bolt ons, full exhaust and cams/heads

you can also call up svt and tell them the vin and they can tell you if the recall was done or not
