ok my searched and searched... cant find one to do the route i want... i know i need an 84.5" belt to bypass just the smog but im looking for smog and AC with the power steering in the stock w/AC location. but cant find one for the AC bypass. it still works so i may run a the 84.5 belt in the heat of the summer.

Thanks guys!:nice:

If you're talking about leaving the A/C compressor on and by passing it, but still running power steering, that's impossible.

Posted via Mobile Device you need the ford racing ac delete bracket. It's about fifty bucks. It's funny how the diagram sticker on the core support shows you can bypass the ac without moving the power steering but if you try it your belt will rub itself at the water pump.

The A/C pulley freewheels when the A/C is not engaged. It's an idler pulley and doesn't rob any HP basically. Nothing to gain by bypassing it.

If it still works, think long and hard before deleting it. I regret removing my A/C.

it still works and hell its still an r12 system... its just in my way, thats been my biggest issue

IMO the ONLY reason to remove smog and AC is if your putting the motor back in, it's a lot if work that will gain you 1hp at the most, ac shuts down at WOT and smog sucks 1hp at WOT, neither of which weigh very much unless you get up under the dash an remove all the accessories as well.
