Okay I am about to go to auto zone, to get some wax and other cleaning stuff. I also want to pick up a short belt. Does any one have the belt # I should get. I think it is Gates belt part K060465 the belt measurement is 21mmx1195mm o.c. Is that right? And I really need a diagram of where to run the belt. Thanks. I know this is a dumb question

All depending what you're trying to use on that shortbelt....if you're using underdrives, etc.

These are my measures. You need a belt xxxxxK6

you mean bypass your ac and smog? if so i did it yesterday, every belt i tried wouldnt work, either to small or to big, so i finally used a k60817 (81.7 inch belt) and got a slightly smaller idler pulley ( i needed a new one anyways) and it works good, i can deffinatly feel the difference with bypassing those two, my car deffinatly feels faster, both low and top end torque. its worth doing

He is using 81.7 I'm using 79.0 This is a good starting point for you. Best deal is to buy 2 or 3 in the middle and then just return the ones that dont fit.

You could always route a small rope around the pulleys until it did the whole routing. Measure it. This is still not the perfect measure...

Best way to figure out what size belt is to measure it! Just use a string, route it how u want it, then measure it. Subtract .5 for tensioner and you should be good to go.

You wont feel much of anything bypassing the smog and ac, removing them both saves a bunch of weight though.

what about bypassing the powersteering would that help at all.
It is sooo not worth it. When I did mine ...I swear it sucked big time and I will never do that again. It made the car not worth driving anymore, seriously. You will see what I mean when you bypass it. :nonono:

I am not going to bypassing the power steering right now. I just drove it around for about 20 mins. I felt good. I felt a little more in the low end. It chirps 1st to 2nd a lot more. I wish I could get rid of my smog and ac but I live in Arizona and this is my DD. Plus I have to pass emissions. Is it not even worth it to bypass the power steering just when I am at the track?

You would have nothing to lose at the track so I would go for it. On the street it is not even worth it IMO.

Yeah I would never use it on the street. I drive too much. Thanks guys for all your help on this. :nice: And Stangfreak95 thanks for the diagram that really helped out.
