SHORT IN IGNITION

I have power going to your distributor which is grounding out through the case/distributor gear. The short is on the ignition circuit, and turns off at least the fuel pump and maybe more. 2 completely different distributors/modules have been tried with the exact same results.

What I want to know is what the possible sources for the 12v ignition are. And how they could be shorting through the distributor. through the distributor.

I'm working with Kenny on this one as he is nearby. It has me puzzled aswell. If anybody has any thoughts or has any questions to help further clarify the problem just ask. Also, if anybody has somesort of diagram for the connector that plugs into the Ignition Module please email it to me or send me a PM. I thought I had one that broke down what each wire does, but it turns out to be of less use than I had hoped. The only narrowing down that we've been able to accomplish is that the source of the voltage that is shorting through the distributor is coming from the harness that plugs into the Ignition Module.

Thanks.
