I've owned many B&M,Hurst, and pro5.0, Th pro 5.0 hands down. It was the first and will always be king.

If they suggest anything else other than a pro 5.0 shifter then they have never owned one.

Warning if you have never used one, it will take a little practice for the 2nd to 3rd shift. You will most likely go from 2nd to 5th on your first try because it is a lot shorter throw than the stocker. Also you no longer have to push up and over at the same time to get to third. The aftermarket shifters have preload springs in them. So when shifting from 2nd to 3rd just simply push forward and let the spring guide it to 3rd for you and you will never mis.

Plus the pro 5.0 have adjustable preload springs, not all the aftermarket shifter have that feature.

u gotta love the HURST..its has every option that all the others have, plus its elegant yet aggressive and has an the option of a white or black ball and accepts after market one too

How do you adjust that spring? Never knew I could. Basically I could make it go into 3rd easier by turning the tension up on it a bit?

I have a pro-5.0 and i never heard about that adjustment. The shifter is amazing. I never miss 3rd anymore!

tried to insert a picture,but had trouble

you could see them at there site,but in the side there is a allen wrench set screw that can be adjusted for more or less preload on the springs.

I spent a little bit of money on all this but I am glad I did I love my current setup. I am running the MGW with the Blue handle and a taurus SHO knob (same as 99 cobra but dark black)

seen them before and they look like a great shifter. I like how you can rotate the the shifter handle to the right or the left if you want.

But I have had a b&M ripper,and a Hurst which is now the supplier for ford racing on there t5 shifters, But the pro 50 i had first and now have another is the best of the three by far.

my friend broke a pro 5.0 handle.....but it was replcaced with a new one....he sold the shifter and bought a MGW after trying mine

Well, I ended up with the MAC Racers Choice and I gotta tell everyone thanks for the feedback because I LOVE the feel of car even more now. I tossed the old stocker in the mountain of old stocker Stang parts I have collecting in my Garage.

On a side note I can fully use the "Plug 'n' Chug" cup holder I bought from 5.0 Resto, the damn shifter used to totally interfere with the front holder.
