Shorty Header Install question...

I know for longtubes you have to jack the motor up, but do you have to jack it up for the shorties? Also is it better to have the equal or unequal shorties? Explainations would be great for the reasons why, and why do you have to jack up the motor?

I havent done mine yet,but,word is unequal lenths slip rite in.Equal lenth shorties,so I hear,require you to jack up the motor.Unequal lenths make a couple less HP also!

I installed BBK Shorty Headers

You will bust your knuckles, but you DO NOT have to jack the engine up.

Just take off your air inlet, and maf.

Install is a breeze. Get some Loc-tite, and a pair of Fel-Pro gaskets. The paper ones sent with the headers are crap.
