i live in NJ and i have a 2000 audi S4 and it was stolen once befor back in may and S4's get stolen all the time here in NJ so i was wundering if cobras were anything like that. If i should be worried please let me know.... thanks
I think PATS (passive anti theft system) really makes it tough for amatuers to steal newer Fords. If a professional wants it that bad, they'll probably get it anyways. Nothing can stop them from hooking up to it and hauling it off.
They'll probably just break in and steal the airbag...they are highly sought after and very easy to take out of mustangs...and like he said above the PATs won't allow them to drive off with it cause the fuel system will shut off, but they could just tow it away...
One suggestion I read about, and it's very simple really, is to lock your steering column with the wheels turned to one extreme or the other. It makes it heck to either tow it or try to get it onto a flatbed. One guy reported they dropped it after a few feet as it wouldn't track straight. Hey, every little bit that deters is worth it. Since reading that, I have made it a habit.
