just wondering if you guys think my stock intake is holding me back a LOT? I know it is, but just not sure how much. (see mods in sig) I had my heads ported when my engine was rebuilt a while ago, but i'm not sure to what level they were done. I wasn't into the car like i am now when i had it done. i just wanted it to run again. now i'm kicking myself because i would have done so much differently for the rebuild. I would like to do a HCI in the next year, but need some $$$ first! Just wondering with my mods, will i see a large gain with a new intake, or should i just wait and get a matched top end kit??

With a completely stock cam and head setup, i noticed a different just swapping to a Cobra intake.

So if you have some headwork done, i would think it would be time for an intake as well

ok. kinda thought so myself too. just looking for some opinions. so what intake would be good for me? i had planned on a street/track heat H/C/I kit in the future, but maybe i should piece something together??? i'd like a polished cobra intake, but i'm worried about outgrowing it with future mods, and having to match parts in the future... what do you guys think? I just eventually want my car to be ~300 rwhp, but i know it never ends with the hp bug either,.... possibly a novi 1000 or low psi SC a year or two in the future possibly, which i know a cobra wouldnt handle well. is it worth it to just buy a intake for my setup now, and then swap later when i do all the big work??? thx

I would just get a Typhoon intake flows better than a cobra and not too much to choke your stock motor. its the intake AFM uses in thier top end kits that they match with TFS heads so later when you get the heads and cam you have an intake that should match pretty well with the heads. Thats the route I plan on doing. AFM did get 321rwhp out of their top end kit on a stock motor.
