Would adding a computer chip help?
I have an 89 Lx vert. It has a 306, Edlebrock Victor Jr's, E cam, Cobra intake, 73 mm C&L, 65 mm TB, 1.6 Roller rockers, Equal length shorties, Crane Hi fi, 130 amp alt, 24lb inj, Off road H pipe, Flowmasters, Wc t5 with alloy gears 2.95 1st. King Cobra clutch. Electric fan w/ controller. I have been trying to solve a fuel consumption problem. 30 miles to 1/4 tank of gas. It sucks at 3 bucks a gallon. So my question is would chipping the computer solve the problem. I am going to change out the o2 sensors today. and put in a fuel pressure gauge to see what I am set at. Any input would be great. I think the computer is a A9P. The kid I bought this from said it was chipped. I pulled the computer to check and he was wrong.
