Onbmy way to and from work every day i pass by this house with a pretty badass looking fox. Looks like a 91-93 gt, good paint and nice drag welds. It looks like it has been parked for quite some time because of the grass growing around it and the fact it hasnt rained here in 3 months. Idk if it runs or not but it looks clean. I really want the rims, you guys think i should swing by on my way home from work one day with some cash and buy the rims? Theres no for sale sign or anything and i havent seen it on craigslist. Think it would be odd to just knock on the door?

Take one with you... You shouldn't really have to worry about a fellow foxbody owner pulling a gun on you, unless he's a guido(like me). Lol jk.

But just knock on the door and ask if its his fox, and tell him you drive by everyday and really like his wheels and was wondering if he wante to sell them. Honestly the worst he can say is no.

I try and buy my neighbors teal 93 cobra all the time that has been sitting there for 5+ years... It is BONE STOCK all the way down to the exhaust.

Lol i think im going to drive by the day i get my fox out of the shop. The previous owner put some ugly import wheels on it. I might ask him if he would trade with me putting up some cash too just so its not sitting on blocks

You have more willpower than me. I wouldn't be trying to buy the rims, I would be trying to buy the whole car.

You'd be surprised how many times people on some other forums complain about people coming to their door asking if their car/parts are for sale. I hear it a lot. I'd leave a not with a phone number asking the question and avoid knocking.

Well i went by yesterday just as a gorgeous high school senior was getting home from volleyball practice (those shorts man....designed to distract you) she said it was her dads and he was trying to get rid of it. The rims are 5 lug and not drag welds....they just look like them from far away. She gave me her dads number but he wants 9 grand for the whole damn car....its not running. Should have got her number while i was there now that i think about it

It's okay you at least stopped and asked. If her dad had been home, the worst he could have said was,

Get Off My Lawn!
