I just recently swapped intakes from the TFSR to the Victor 5.8. With the victor 5.8 I needed a throttle body spacer to clear the fuel rail for the throttle linkage ( I have a 93 fox TB conversion and the linkage was hitting the fuel rail before) The only spacer I could find was for a 65MM opening. My Accufab TB is 75MM and the opening to the Victor is 75MM as well as the TB cable bracket. So as you can see my once straight through 75MM opening from my TB to the intake is now being closed down in between the two to 65MM.

First of all is this going to effect anything as far as performance in an adverse way and if so is it worth it to take it all off and just get a hole saw and bore the spacer out to a 75MM opening? When holding the throttle cable bracket spacer up to the TB spacer you can see the difference between the 65 and 75MM openings. It is quite a bit

The difference between the 2 is 25/64" 0.394". 75mm is 2.953" so a 3" hole saw would work. If you can get it to cut in the center.

What is the spacer made of? How thick is it? Any decent machine shop should be able to open that hole up perfectly. I would do it for $10. Take 20 minutes at most.

If it's made from Phenolic run the drill slow. That stuff is bad for you when it burns and it doesn't like to be cut so it burns easy. I use it to make fixtures at my job.

I had mine opened up to 80mm by a machine shop. Mine are billet and I gave up pretty quick trying to do it myself. I would be worried about the tb blade hitting the spacer.

I have not had it WOT yet b/c the new clutch is still breaking in so Im not sure if the TB blade would hit it or not. The TB spacer is directly on the intake and then the EGR delete bracket which also holds the throttle cable bracket then the Throttle Body so I think there is enough room between the TB and the spacer so that the blade wont hit it. I'll call a few local machine shops in the morning and see if they could do it for me I just need it done quick b/c Im going to the track saturday. Shouldnt be more then a few bucks to have them bore that hole out a little bigger.
