should i remove accessories

Is there any advantage in removing the smog and a/c accessories and all the other stuff associated with it or would i need manual steering to notice a bigger improvement

you will free up a few horses by removing the ac pump and smog pump accessories and remove some weight...but do not remove the smog pump if you still have the cat. converters because this will cause the cats. to stop up.. does you state have emmission testing if so do not remove any smog equipment. in alabama where i live the ac has to stay its been 100* + for the last 3 weeks and removing the ac if its still working will decrease the value so its usually a personal decision there.

You will free up some HP and reduce a bit of weight which is always nice to get off the front end. You will notice a difference.

took out my ac and power steering went w/ flaming river quick ratio manual rack and love it!!! plus gave up a sh&t ton of weight...

About how much hp is lost to AC, PS, SP, & WP?

Must have Alt for electric WP.

AC - when turned off maybe 2HP at the most - it's just another idler pulley until you turn on the A/C, also, when you go to WOT the comp shuts off the A/C.
Smog Pump - 1-2 HP
Water Pump - up to 12 HP according to manufacture.
Power Steering - don't know.

i've been running the Meziere electric WP with idler pulley since early 2005 in my 94 GT out in AZ with NO problems. (it's the proto-type for the 94-95 GTs)

it's suppose to draw about 10-12 amps.
