Should i switch to royal purple?

Well, as the thing says. I have 112,000 miles on my shortblock. Its time for my usual oil change and i was thinkin about the added protection of this. Im gonna be using the stock shortblock for at least another year and would like to make sure its kept safe? Is it worth the switch or should i just forget about it?

really a personal choice (i remember the last thread like this i participated on over here. ).

i might ask: what kind of driving do you do (sustained high RPM's, etc, short trips) and what ambient temps do you see?
would you entertain an extended OCI after the first oil change? (offset costs).

i dont find the synthetic debate all that interesting. if one sees extreme conditions or likes extended OCI's, synthetic might be a good choice. if not, todays conventional oils (esp group II+ and group III's) are very good and i would not hesitate to use them myself.

please elaborate your situation and desires.

Well i have a fluidyne and a 180 stat so i would say 190 degrees give or take. its a daily driver that sees at least 1 WOT burst a day. I shift it at 6,000rpm and has 298rwhp and 326rwtq.

Use mobil 1 best stuff for the price. Best oil in my opinion. So to Sam's Club and buy it. It costs like $21 for 6qts. Can't beat that.
