Found out mine is 14% when I took my wife's new car to get it done. Edited my original post too.

First of all some nice Mustangs posted on this thread. I think Dodge put like 90-95% "tint" on our windows from factory and state law is 24%. My plan is to get 30% in hopes of bringing the overall tint to 20-25% to be in as much in compliance as possible. Having a black car with black interior helps make the tint look darker than it is.

So what are the benefits of ceramic tint over non-ceramic tint?

Ceramic tint blocks the heat as well as the UV rays.

I just tell my guy to do it one step darker into illegal, which he says is 14% (In Florida, 28% on front windows is legal). I think he did the whole car for $175-$185 under the table. All five windows, plus a strip at the top of the windshield.

25% sides and rear. 70% front window. I got ceramic tint so it was on the expensive side. $500. I live in Fl so it was worth it just to keep the heat out. On a hot sunny day you can put your hand up next to the window inside, and not feel any heat coming through.

On the red, yellow, and white Mustangs the tint appears to cover/black out the dot matrix on the quarter glass, but on the black Mustang you can still see the gap where the dot matrix is. What's the deal with that?

To the owners of the red, yellow, and white ones: can you still see the dot matrix on your quarter glass like with the black one? Perhaps the dot matrix appearing covered/blacked out is just due to the way the pics were taken (angle, light levels, etc).

It is just the angle of the picture and the sun. The gap is there.

Thanks. I figured that was probably the case.

It's the same for the back windshield too I'm assuming?

Haha I still haven't got my tint cause of Christmas and all that. But finally ready to buy and just contacted like 10 businesses with good reviews abut tinting windows and all of lights.
