side vent removal

My buddy has a '95 stang. He wants to do some paint work. We can't figure out for the life of us how to remove the side vents on the rear quarters. Any hints?

Do you mean the side scoops? You can pull those off with your hands, as they are held on (at least for '99-'04 models) by six plastic clips.
