I thought part of the fun of hot-rodding is things breaking/going wrong and fixing them better than they were in the first place. This hobby/lifestyle isn't for all. If you like speed and power, but can't work on it, then buy a new car every so often and just let your wallet do the work.

I cant believe this thread. One thing is obvious, this guys isnt the first owner. IMHO he bought a mustang that had terrible past owner(s) that couldnt take care of a car. I mean damn, a carb mustang doesnt have a heck of a lot to make it run. And I hope the problem wasnt something gay like he couldnt get the power mirror to work, or couldnt figure out how to plug his cell phone into the cigarette lighter. As it has been said throughout this thread, it doesnt matter what kind of car it is, if you buy a 21+ yr old car that has had a ****ty past or a past you nothing about then you will have problems. Where I live now and have lived in the past, these cars dont last long in the classifieds. maybe a week at most but usually sooner they are sold. I have had 2-3 that were sold from under me because someone else came along with cash in hand paying full price if not more when I went to the bank to get the cash. It wont sell if you put a sign on it in your front yard by the way. Or, you are asking like $9000 for a car that isnt worth it. All cars need maintenance and if you thought you were going to buy a 21+ yr old car and not have problems?? something is wrong. Do us a favor when you leave the forums, sell the stang buy a civic or toyota and be done with it. I hope your grand national does you good. THey are beautiful cars too, but sooner or later the headlight might go out and I hoep you dont sell it after that.
