Simple 4.6L request

Can somebody tell me or better yet take a picture of the plug going to a 4.6L cooling fan???? Is is circular or a long oval shape? Mine is a 2001. I was trying to use a 3.8L cooling fan to avoid buying a 4.6L fan but it looks like I will have to. I have a basket case on my hands and my old fan and plug was smashed and I am trying to figure out which wires go to where. Thanks in advance. I had a more technical question in Tech, with no help...this thread is easier I guess...

I just went out and checked mine for you and it is a long oval plug in.

Thanks guys. I have done more digging in the mean time. I found the old mangled fan in the boxes I had the rest of the stuff. Mine is a round plugs with 3 FAT wires coming out. There is also a resistor built in. The 3.8L fan will not work for me. It has the same oval plugs as the one shown above in pic. Looks like I am spending 100+ for a used fan.

I was a while ago but When I bought my fan for the GT, I think the cobra had the same part number, but the price was something like $129~, check the dealership before you go used

I will thanks. I work at a JY so, that is why I mostly go used. The list show 269 right now....but I will call because my last update is old.
