hey. Im trying to swap the factory double din 6 cd changer on my 2002 mustang
im going to replace it with a single din Alpine iDA-X100
the thing is that unit doesnt support cds (just ipods, radio, usb mp3 players, etc)

now im thinking about adding a cd-changer to the unit to be able to play cd-s, but i dont want to mount it in the trunk or glovebox

does anyone know of a cd-changer that fits in a single din slot?
im thinking about having the alpine unit on top and the changer right under it

thanks for the reply

i dont really need a cd changer to directly interface with the alpine head unit
mebe one that connects throught aux?

and i don't need a 6-cd changer either, even if it was just a regular 1 disc player i wouldnt care

thanks for ur help, but im really set on that alpine headunti

Just buy a ipod or a big usb flash drive and rip and play your cd's that way. Will save you a lot more time.

i do have an ipod, thats why im so fixated about getting this alpine headunit

i just would also like the option of playing cds

i guess im being too picky but i dunno hopefully ill find a solution

I'm honestly out of the loop when it comes to what's available nowadays in car audio, but I do know that Nakamichi used to sell a DIN sized stereo that had a built in 6 disc changer. It required mounting the stereo's built in amp elsewhere, though. And I also don't remember it being very affordable.
