Single Junkyard Turbo

Well i did a search on this, but really didn't come up with anything. I want to do a junkyard turbo, but don't want a twin setup, so how would i connect both headers to a connector to the turbo. Also what size and type of turbo would you recommend to use on a single turbo. i am still a high school kid, so money is an object, so what am i looking at price wise for everything i might need for the single set up.

ya could just run it off one bank and go with milder boost (wont be a tear your head off combo, but nice little extra pep).

as for turbo size, it really depends upon what configuration you want to go with and how much power you will make. just figuring out the ratios and math on the turbo is enough to make my head spin (lots of little give and takes).

good luck.

there was an article in i believe 5.0 mustang about a guy who had done a "junkyard turbo" to his car. and I think it was twins at that. He had used the turbo's off a turbocoupe thunderbird with a manual. The manual cars came with a larger a/r ratio. .63 i think. the auto cars were .5.. something.

i dont remember what issue it was though

also a member or turbomustangs.com, as am I. Stangnet doesnt have the knowledge or experience ur looking for. help yourself to all the info you need, search the web, not just stangnet..
