sir august 27

I finally got my car running again last night so I am hoping to make it.I just have to upgrade a couple things so it will pass tech.A couple questions, has anyone had a problem with the stock Mustang battery hold down passing tech?It seems pretty flimsy. And where is a good place to buy a Snell rated helmet? Thanks.

Hey Ian! They gave me crap last year..You just gotta have the right size battery for the tray. I drilled right through the hold down and used a nut and bolt instead of that screw thing.... Doesn't move at all now!!

I'm heading up on the 27th also.. I hope a whole bunch of Regina guys show up! I was gonna go up on Friday the 13th but my new slicks and tri-ax haven't showed up yet  ! We should all go that weekend it should be awesome..

Everything looks good for me being there so long as nother else happens in the next two weeks. (stupid wagon and the very confusing electrical problem that won't allow the car to start. the battery dying in the mustang). Why does it seem as soon as you have some extra cash lying around something always goes wrong.

Sounds like there might actually be a good turn out this time.

Maybe we should all go out for beers afterwards.

I'm sure i can talk a couple of other regina guys to show up.

I've always heard that after 5000 kms you're good to go. But I could be wrong.

I wish I could go up that Friday, but I could only get the 28th off for my birthday. So if anyone wants to hit up New Yorx with me on Saturday, feel free to stop by. :D

looks like your warrenty is gone... (unless you got ford to add all thoses options) could be good thing could be bad thing... good thing is you can mod it and race it bad thing is if stuff breaks... anyway ill be out there as well hope my steeda cai comes... help me beat my buddy in the Mach 1 again lol ;)

Ya, Bennett did a lot of the stuff! They did the gears. The chip they basically said that they couldn't correct the computer using what they had, so I could do whatever I wanted to fix it, I'm just supposed to keep it on the down-low! The shifter they said wouldn't cause I a problem with warranty so that's fine as well. Other than that everything else is appearance mods. Again which most of were done at the time of purchase! So I'm all good with the warranty stuff! The dealership guys always like seeing what new stuff I add to the car, it's kinda cool actually!

I think maybe I'll wait till next year to take the car to the track. By then hopefully have my exhaust all done and maybe some springs! We'll see what happens this winter! :)

Man it must be nice to have those tires though... how much tdid they cost you?

They were $309/tire from SyberSport Racing in Winnipeg. The only thing is that they kinda suck is the rain! But on dry pavement they stick! :) I haven't really tried to much being that the car is so new, but a little bit!
