I am hoping someone else has had this issue and has fixed it. I have OEM Ford Chrome Cobra R's. I bought them brand new years ago. Over the years and the terrible winters (I do take them off during winter) here in Michigan the Chrome has started to peel in some places and I also have pitting in other areas. The problem I am facing is on one of the wheels has a small rust spot around the lip and apparently is causing a slow leak in the tire. I took it to my local tire place to have them dunk it to see if I had a nail or something in it and they said it is leaking from around the edge. Is there anyway to fix this?

Any help would be appreciated.

The logical thing to try would be to break the bead and smear a good bead sealer on the rim and then re-seat the bead.

Thanks, never heard of this stuff before. Any idea where I could pick this stuff up at? Pepboys, autozone, etc? or a specialty shop?

The tire shop where you have the work done should have a bottle of the stuff.
