Slow to return to idle… Bone stock ’05 GT… Run it up in gear,, then back off and push in the clutch… say quick move across a street intersection,,, then have to hold up for traffic….or out of a parking lot.. then stop for a red light… RPMs up in the 4~5 k range while in gear… then off the throttle,, clutch in… RPMs hang,, and S L O W L Y come back down to idle. Normal for this motor in stock tune????????? In the motive world I come from .. that would be called a hanging idle…. And be caused by a lean condition….. But there aint no carb on my GT.. so I doubt that is the cause :D
Thanks gang.. :hail2:

I noticed it as well and I believe its the throttle programming..I am not sure but I believe a tuner will take care of this. But i am getting used to it. I drove a standard for twenty years and i can now shift faster and smoother when I am Getting into the throttle because the rpms don't drop as fast. At first I was ticked but now I think its kinda cool.

Yup! That is the good... ol... ETC (Electronic Throttle Control). The SCT Xcal I or Xcal II cannot adjust for this using the tuner or the Extreme Tuning software. I am unsure as to whether or not the Diablo will adjust the ETC settings both for response after rev and under load. However, a tuner with the full tuning package from SCT can and will adjust this for you. Try Doug at Bamachips. He is familiar with the process and will work with you for a tune to take care of the issue.
