I'm paying about the same, figured they give you a "12 coats of wax" discount... What's up with that?

Gotta love the SLP

Glad you like it!!! I had only the SLP catback on my 01gt then i added the catted x-pipe and the headers. Boy did it get louder. I love it!!!! Wait till you put on the whole setup.......drive down to the freeway and let it rip while driving next to one of those concrete dividers......LOL sounds like NASCAR. I have gotten pulled over once because of them, the officer thought i was speeding because of how the car sounded, i was high in the rpm and it gets kinda loud around 3k. We got to talking and he asked who made my exhaust and let me go without anything. The wife always knows when i am coming to pick her up from work. lol I have gotten nothing but positive comments about both teh sound and the looks.

I wonder if i bought stainless steel tail pipes from mac then bought the SLP mufflers, and then had a muffler shop weld it all together how much it would cost, would that be the same as buying a catback like caballo did.

It's a 2.5 in. system. The problem with buying just the "mufflers" is that they are stainless steel and slip on. So you would have to know someone who welds stainless or find a muffler shop that can make the rest of the system slip on style like the SLP.

https://www.rpmoutlet.com/ezRetail/search/view.php?msg_id=2228

That link will get you the loudmouth mufflers. Use coupon code "1212" and hit enter for a discount.

I think for the price, the quality and fit and finish, the entire system can't be beat. Seriously, it slides together with no question as to how it's supposed to work and there is hardly any adjustment necessary. But I understand the problem of them not offering a kit for the FB Mustangs...

Good Luck making it work...

Clips don't do it justice. You need to hear it in person. You'll be sold.

well i was just going to get the Mac stainless tail pipes then have the mufflershop make the pipe that goes from the x/h pipe to the muffler and clamp it that way so it will be just like the Catback kit.

Tell your "buddy Rob" that there has been a kit out for some time for his car. I plan to install the three inch version on my car this summer. Congratulations on the install!

Glad you like your new exhaust - I was amazed when I pulled the cats of my car and threw on an x-pipe and Flows. Whoa! Throw out the stereo, won't be needin' it.

But hey - isn't SLP a GM thing? Or did they bail since the F-bodies fell and couldn't get up? [snicker]

You know, last weekend I went and bought a Sony Head Unit (Snort!Giggle) and I loved it... Till tuesday when the SLP's came in. I haven't listened to it since for more than 1 song.

SLP was a GM thing, but you're right about them carpetbagging when the Fbods went south....

Yea funny how production lines end for a car and all of these parts show up for another.

Even I have an SLP piece or two on mine.

I agree about the radio thing, I almost never listen to it anymore, I just like to rev it up and listen to her lope at idle.

sad thing is I've got Slp parts on my Camaro. Then I get a mustang and they start making parts for them. Can't bring myself to put any on there
