i have a set of slp mufflers with the flowtubes already attatched, but no tialpipes. i am wandering what the sounds would be dumped compared to with tailpipes. seeing as how they are a straight through muffler would it make much of a difference sound wise if the tialpipes are there or not? i like the tone of them with tialpipes, but dont wanna spend 75 bucks to have it welded up if the tone will be about the same dumped. hopefully someone here cna help me out before i go and spend money i hope i dont have to

well, dumps are louder obviously. dumps with turndowns are a little more quiet with a little less hp. I have some offset mufflers on mine (don't know what or who they are) but I think they have been cleaned out.. I.E, straight exhaust with no stops

you dont needa spend 75 bucks to get it welded together......just to to autozone, pep boys, etc and get u-shaped exhaust clamps.....then u can switch between tails and no tails whenever u want :D

i dont think that will work. the slp doesnt come with tips, just flow tubes...i will have to cut my old tialpipes off of my flowmaster system which has been welded...and i dont think i can slip them together without welding, cuz on the slp mufflers it looks as if the tailpipes were welded there too and then cut off. i might can make somehting like that work though. i will give it a shot i guess
