Well, I already have the SLPs on my car, but I want more loudness! I'm looking at the JBA off-road h-pipe because I think it would sound mean as heaven (haha, get it? It's the opposite of hell). Anyways, how do you guys think this would sound? I'm not running any headers, nor do I want to.

The Bassani comes with cats and the off road pipes, that way you could make your own choice. Mine sounds good with the cats, havent tried the off road pipes yet.............damn CEL

DUDE! Have you heard your car from the outside? If not I suggest you find someone to do a hard take off while you stand behind the car. It's much louder outside than inside. Everyone has their own pain threshold but man, I can't see anyone living with that setup. The Bassani is a good idea. That way you can put the cats in if you need them. My bet: you'll need them.

I would suggest a MAC prochamber. The chamber will act like a muffler. I have this setup and it sounds bad ass.

The one down side to the Bassani is the price of it. I liked the price of the JBA cause I coiuld get it for $175. I just don't know what else I want to do to my car right now - gears are just silly since I never take my car to the track, underdrive pullies are a waste of money, and I don't want NOS. Plus, I thought that x-pipes give off a higher pitched sound than h-pipes do. UGHHH, I'm so confused.

Hey odum, since you say the prochamber acts like a muffler, then won't that make my car quiter? And aren't the prochambers $300+?

I ran the bassani with and without cats with my slp kit and it sounded like crap both ways. Without cats it was god awful loud and got me stopped twice in three days. I mean so loud that with the shaker 1000 all the way up you could barely even hear anything but the bass. I then put the cats in the x-pipe and it made it sound like an overgrown ricer, very raspy and junky sounding. I am know running the off-roads with flows and it is a little louder than the slp kit but still sounds bad ass!

It will quiet it down a little. I think you will want that. With the prochamber, my car made my ears ring when it was on the dyno getting tuned. It's very loud. They are pretty expensive. i can't remember what I paid for mine, it's been 6 or so months since I got it.

Un-fortunetly the JBA off-road H-pipe is made to be used with the JBA Long Tube Headers Only. . . . But yes They Do Sound Wicked as Heaven. . . . .
