I have a working AC in my car, but I always turn it off when I am stuck in traffic in order to avoid boiling. I have seen on some mercedes SL from 70's that they have a tiny electric fan mounted behind the star in the grille to cool the AC radiator, so I have the same idea..

So I imagine a 6" electric fan to mount on the AC radiator and connect to a fan controller and AC. Where can I get a 6" fan?

Iskwezm is right...if you notice on most new cars the electric fan kicks on when the AC is turned on. I wired mine the same way...its on a thermostat as well and runs when the AC is on or when it hits 190 degrees.

Correct however a small fan on the condeser wouldn't hurt the performance of your AC system in traffic. Its more of an extra but if you drive in bumper to bumper it would be a good extra to have.
