Like it says i have to go in to get smogged in the next week or so. Im gonna put the stock H back on, and should i back the timing off? Im also gonna put the stock regulator back on. What else should i do?
It really depends on the place you go to. Some sleazy looking places wont even ask about CARB#'s unless you fail the sniffer. They really only care if you have cats and other smog equipment. Other places won't even test your car if it has an illegal CAI. Ask around, I'm sure some people know places that are mod-friendly.WhiteDevil said:Well as for injectors, plugs, and carbon on the cylinders. I just finished my H/C/I about 4 weeks ago. With new 24#ers, and plugs. I know my Anderson isnt a legal intake, but i have my CARB sticker from my old MAC cold air do you think they will just think its a MAC? How savvy are these guys when it comes to CARB #s?
donjohn said:dunno then, maybe my brother just got a crappy tester
Chythar said:I personally feel that the visual inspection is crap - as long as the emissions are clean, that's all that should matter.

WhiteDevil said:I know i dont have to go to a test only. Does that mean i go go whereever i want?
probably shouldnt post it on the board. If some one wants to know you should PM them with it.Chythar said:Exactly. You can go to your local mechanic, provided he's got an official smog station. Or if he's cool, perhaps he can recommend a test-only station that doesn't care about the visual inspection. That's how I found the station I've been going to.
The station is in the Mar Vista/Venice area in SoCal - if there's anyone on the board that lives near there, I'll post the location.
Dude don't post that stuff on a public forumLabora said:Simple go to a place where you can give the guy a tip. Alot cheaper then all that stuff you are planning.
<-- car passed without cats, smog pump, egr, window tint to dark etc. All about finding right place.
