Smog police are at it again

Heard on the news this morning that the state is going to install cameras on the freeway that will look for smoking vehicles, take a picture of the license plate and give notice to have vehicle repaired.

"But I am an important government official type, I should be exempt. Thank you very much."

I guess the only recourse for the common citizen is to have upswept exhaust pipes just under the license plate.

Sounds like something they had wanted to do in AZ along wiht automatic speed cameras on the freeway. BTW my 72 failed it's emission testing due to the techs gunning it into the 4v which almost jumped the car off the rollers and into the booth!
