moly rings are Very hard, and can take i lil while to seat, and if the cylinder walls were not properly "hatched" when the rebuild was done they may never seat. As far as the valve steams seals I believe that would create more of a smoking at start up and take off, I'm not sure tho.

check to see if the pcv valve has popped out...or if the dip stick has popped up. When I had pcv issues, the pressure would cause the dipstick to pop up and oil would squirt out from there onto the headers. Making it look like my engine blew up every time I'd floor it. It could also be a bad intake manifold seal.

I think you're right on the money. Improperly seated rings is possibly one reason. A blocked or stuck PCV valve causing excessive pressure in the crankcase resulting in piston ring blowby could be another. The latter would be easier to check and remedy if it's the problem.

How is your PCV setup, is it same as from factory with the screen filter in the intake under the PCV? If so that screen may also be stopped up.
