Is there a particular brand of smoked headlights that will work well with HID kits? Ive heard don't use reflector but then read on american muscle that their conversion kits shouldnt be used with projector style. Ive read many of the posts and cant tell one way or another...

I need to have them functional and not blind people at night because they arent focused...

I've seen some housings so dark that you can't tell they had an HID conversion done. However, projectors are the "right" (still not perfect) way to do it. As far as I know, there is not a single SN95 housing (projector or reflector style) that is actually designed to work with HIDs, and unless AM has some sort of shield built in to their conversion bulbs I don't see why they recommend reflector style housings.

because the reflector and projectors have diff bulb #'s

the ones I bought from 5.0 resto work well with HID's.. I can finally see again at night because of them
