Hey you SN95 5.0 folks. I know a few of you have moded out your cars, not sure to what extent, but I would like to know what you did, how far you got wihout needing a chip/tuner and if you have any front accy's parts (passenger bracket and Alt) left over? Hoping to find someone local that can help me with project neverending..

I built a 347 for my 94. It's still running on the stock computer, no chip or anything. I'm running a motorsport F-303 cam and the only issue I really have with the driveability is on a hot start up. The idle will jump up and down like crazy and run a little fat, but thats about it. I know a chip would probably do wonders for it, but I still managed a 12.52 @ 108 witha 3680 pound race weight.

same here... i have TB, CAI, pulleys, mid-pipe, catback, etc etc and still running on stock chip.

i don't plan on changing out the chip until the H/C/I upgrade. still TBD.

though eversince i upgraded my fuel pressure regulator i've been having the jumpy idle thing on a hot start as well.

Funny, one of my first engine mods was the FRPP extender. My mods all started by trying to rid myself of that dreadful ping.
I couldn't tell you want all the different stages of my mods were like with the stock computer only.
I will say that add on alone made a huge difference in power and driveability.
I wouldn't totaly put electronic tuning out of the range of possiblity.
Currently I have in the engine:
Cobra Intake, pro-m 75 MAF, 65 TB, 2030 cam, 1.6 stud mounts, '91 forged piston motor, U/D's, 180tstat, FRPP headers/exhaust, oil cooler and the extender.
I had a cold air kit but the sleeve tore. Someone here was kind enough to offer me there old sleeve but I had a new baby at the time and never got back to them.
I modified the stock intake tract to accept the pro-m and it seems to be ok.

I dyno'd 260rwhp and 312 rwtq w/everything in the sig minus, cam, hi-6 ign, t/b, fms extender, c&l 76, and had a huge exhaust leak w/incorrect heat range for my plugs. haven't been to the dyno since I fixed some problems and added all of the parts, but the only problem I seem to have is after a hot start up.

Here you go Larry:

Current Cobra setup

1. 302 block bored .020 over, magnafluxed and girdled
2. AFR 185 aluminum heads (2.02/1.6) Port match to intake and stronger valve springs
3. SRP light weight forged pistons (8.6:1 compression)
4. H Beam forged rods
5. Custom grind Comp Cam for Turbocharged application
-- 218/[email protected], 0.544/0.544, 114 LSA
6. ARP studs throughout
7. Race bearings for crank
8. F/8 Race brgs, Cam brg.
9. Crank Balanced and Blue printed
10. Trickflow R intake system w/ 1” phenolic spacer
11. 70mm BBK TB
12. 75lb fuel Injectors flow matched Delphi (low impedance)
13. 1.7 stud mounted roller rockers
14. BBK under drive pulleys
15. 160* Thermostat
16. Hardened Comp Cam push rods
17. New Comp cam lifters

This is the other supporting stuff currently installed:

1. T60-1 HiFi Turbo TTI kit (Intercooled)
2. Aeromotive 1000 competition Fuel system (complete)
3. F.A.S.T computer system with 3 bar MSD boost MAP and closed loop wideband O2
4. Tremec TKO
5. FMS 3.73 gears
6. MSD 6AL
7. MSD blaster coil
8. MSD 2 Step
9. Manual boost controller 5-200 PSI
10. Magnaflow Turbo mufflers (blow thru)

Runs mid 11's in street trim all day long with Pump gas, 22 miles per gallon, and is much quiter than it was when stock.

I also still have my ACC. Brackets still on the front. I've also did all the othere basic bolt-ons at one time, so if you have any questions, just give me a shout.

any mod you do your computer is trying to correct or try to figure out why ****s running different so to get the full effect of your bolt ons you need a chip. without a chip some mods can make your car slower

I've got a BBK Cold Air Kit, an E-Cam, full MSD System, off road h-pipe, headers, and a Kenne Bell supercharger. I'm currently putting down 332 to the wheels. I've never taken it to the track, but I'm guessing somewhere in the low 13's, possibly high twelves on a good day.
