:bang: I hope someone can help me with this!

I have a 1991 Mustang GT. I want to change the stock dash out for one from a 94-04 Mustang, but I dont know what all I need. Im also not sure on the install and what kind of fabrication is involved. Im also not sure if I need the Wireing harness from an SN95 or even waht year I need.

If anyone knows of a good tech article or even someone who sells a kit I would love to here about it. Or if someone can give me a list of items I need to do the install, and maybe some problem points.

Please let me know!

Thanks

there was a guy in a 5.0 issue that did it, i think here was alot of cutting involved and he used all 03' cobra parts in the car so i would think the harneses matched up. the car was pretty sweet, it was basically everthing out of an 03 cobra except the IRS.

he also had custom door panels cause the stock door handle is in the way because the sn95 dash is way bigger. its definitly a ton of work but when its all done they look real good...

You basically have to fabricate the console out of fiberglass, and to do it right, cut it in half and take a section out of the center. Then after that you've got to deal with all the wiring issues with the dash...BUT, if you're lucky enough to afford a 4.6 swap, you'll have the right dash and the right computer to go along with it.

I got this pic off here a few years back....no idea who it is. I have the pic labeled as an '85. If i remember correctly, most of what you see was custom, and there was a pretty good loss of leg room because the dash comes out much further than the stocker.

about 4 or 5 years ago aguy did it here on stangnet and tool lots of pics, dunno if the info in still here. He had to cut lots of stuff, he broke his windsheild, he had to relocate his inner door handles , lots and lots of stuff, but it looked sweet
