Sn95 Front Brakes Won't Release

  • Sponsors (?)

Usually this is a case of the booster rod being adjusted too long. If the brakes will release when you loosen the MC nuts on the booster a few turns, you've found the problem.

If it does not release with the bleeders on the caliper open, you have no fluid pressure at your caliper. This means it has nothing to do with hoses, booster etc. It is not a fluid related problem.

Your caliper is mechanically binding. It is either inside the caliper or for some reason the moving section of the caliper is not sliding freely on the mounts. Make sure the mounts are free of rust and lubricated

In past I was given the wrong caliper (LH vs. RH). I am not sure they could even be mounted but you may want to verify they were not mixed up.

Being a caliper retrofit from a newer to an older vehicle, possibly the caliper is not properly lined up with the rotor.
