I cant Image that a 03/04 Mach1 Meter would work as the Modular engine would have a completely different computer than a 5.0.

Yeah, but I've seen more than a few Mustang guys using 80MM lightning mass air meter's and they run a different computer too. I think it could and would be pretty neat if it did.

Well, there's a link there that discusses the adapters and where to get them in some detail. To just say that there are adapters available doesn't help you one bit because it's unlikely you would find the correct adapter. You can either make an adapter like I did, cut the flange off of your meter or you can buy an adapter from the sole remaining source on the Internet.

Anyway, here is the link to an adapter...

http://www.kustomz.com/cat3.html

Buy the TR70 for $44.95.

I sent PMASS (pro-m) an email asking if they still made the adapter as some people said the had in the past. I got this response.
PMASS said:
If we understand what you are trying to do correctly. We believe you are looking for a conical adapter. You may purchase one of these from anyone of our distributors. Part number is 70ADPT suggested retail is 22.95.

I posted a request on the corral asking for pictures and a price on one, since there are a few distributers on there. Ill see what happens, this would be much more cost effective them the one from the other site for $45.

This thread has really turned out to be great.
We'll have to see if Daggar is willing to stick it in the Tech Thread Index.

Here are the things that really strike me...

Im running a 3.8L maf on my stang right now for my 19lbers ...also a 3.8L Taurus/Sable SD computer will work for a SD 5.0 stang...When I did my maf conversion thats what was in it...noticed it was slightly shorter than the 5.0L computer also

I thought the 3.8L Taurus was MAF?
I have pulled MAF meters from the 3.8L Taurus before?

Do you know the catch code that was on that 3.8L computer?
I would like to try pulling up each of these .bin files in the tweecer just to see how they compare.
I suspect there are some problem areas, that don't show unless you look closesly.
Still I don't see how it would work at all.

Before I switched over to a SD setup via megasquirt…I ran a pro-m univer maf sensor calibrated for a 96 4.6 mustang on my 5.0L. It worked flawlessly…I just modified my existing pigtail to fit inside of the 96 maf sensor.

I would like to look at the MAF Transfer of the ProM MAF you were using.
What diameter is it?
Sorry I am not too familiar with the ProM meters.

Thanks guys,
jason

Once I get everything worked out and if the adapter from pro-m works out, I think Im going to compile the info into a new thread and pm Dagger about putting it in the sticky. Just so that people dont have so much to wade through.
