One issue with that thread is the intake there is non-Egr. That version provides a lot of tubing. For whatever reason, my version has less.

I think for getting it buttoned up and test started I’ll do the ugly approach. If it runs I’ll consider something a bit more elegant.

Im thinking I dont have an explorer intake. I dont have the tree like that one shows. That said, the plumbing is basically the same. Thank you.

That is definitely an Explorer intake.

You may want to put the fan controller in the inner fender area so as to minimize water splash on it. I believe the unit itself is okay with water but the wire connections over time may not be. My other concern would be with the blue potentiometer that you can adjust for the set temperature for turning the fan on being the set screw may not be 100% water tight.

Who wants to play …

IDENTIFY THE MISSING ELECTRICAL CONNECTION!

First up I believe is the AC connector. I deleted AC, any advice here?

Next is a ground from the rear of the stock lower intake IIRC. Can I ground this anywhere? Advice?

This one is like next to the AC, near the lights and battery tray. Any idea?

This one is back engine bay passenger side. Right next to the vacuum connections there.

This one looks like it is part of the fuel injector power. A there a sensor or something that I missed?

I have a 4pin connection for the MAF, I didn’t bother posting a pic of it.

Is the one by the batter tray maybe a low fluid sensor connection for the radiator overflow? I went contour electrical fan with the LMR overflow and I do not believe that has a sensor with it. Do I need to do anything other than let it dangle?

Electric Fan...and coolant reservoir. What've YOU got?

I want to ditch my shroud mainly for show, as I know the stocker cools really well as it is. What are you guys running for electric fans, and what did you do about a coolant reservoir? And what about those Canton, etc. billet reservoirs? Are those easily adaptable to a 5.0 motor? I know my...

Does anyone have a diagram and/or description of what the 3 sensors are on the top/front of a standard lower intake manifold ? I want/need to replace all these sensors for a new motor change. TIA

So its definitely the canister purge solenoid as its R GY/Y. I thought that was the connection closer to the canister itself. What is connected up there at the fuel rail?

Well that was silly. It was the canister purge solenoid. I just needed to find the male end of the connector to plug into the female. Once I moved a couple things there it was.

Last remaining is the ground from the rear of the stock lower intake. It maybe it was on the original heads?

Only item left I believe is the ground. Im not sure where the other end of that is. I guess I can chase it, but Im pretty sure it was to the lower intake. I guess I could just bolt it to the GT40 heads?
