I am getting close to first start on my car.... I am going to leave the thermostat out for this to eliminate a thermostat problem and making it easier to bleed out the air.....Gonna have to adjust the temp, way hot. Cockpit guage went to 3/4's, radiator and upper hose too hot to touch.
Maybe thermostat went. I put the old one back in, should be fine but ya never know.
I think your drilling a hole is a great idea and I use it and know lots of people who do that..I am telling you just drill a 1/8" hole here:
No need to leave it out and bleed things off. If you are concerned if the thermostat will open or not then put it in a pot of water, put it on the stove, insert a thermometer and see what temp it opens up at.
Which size? Looks like a lot of options.I run urethane sway bar bushings.
