so i'm gonna order some meth injection next week when i get back from vacation and i thought i was sold on the snow performance till i saw the price on the afm mr freeze.

i like the gizmos and gadgets with the snow, but i really like the price of the afm job.

so if anyone has any experience either way chime in and let me know.

combo is afr 165's, cam, cobra intake, v2-sq, 255 intank, t-rex, 42's, 80mm pro-m, msd, exhaust, etc....

oh yeah, it will be dyno tuned--most likely a switch ship with a meth tune and a 91 tune.

Hit up turbomustangs. Theres a bunch of threads on meth inj. over there. I believe it comes down to how they are injected and most guys still go with the snow. Check it out.

i here ya with the inj methods as the afm is more of a sucker than a sprayer.

that being said i really like what they do over at afm and trust their products over any other. and it really seems they have made the mr freeze for centrifugal setups.

i don't get why it is not compatible with twin screw blowers tho. they generate alot of suction too.

The way I understand the methanol injection is that it atomizes when it passes through the centrifugal blades and is compressed, it must be different with the twin-screw Kenne Bell.

personally i like how the snow performance setup works. AFM is all mechanical parts, where Snow is more of a customizable setup. AFM when your tank runs out, your out and there goes your tune and possibly your engine depending on the extremness of the tune. Snow has safetys setup that allow you to retard your timing. I feel snow is a more comprehensive setup. don't get me wrong, i totally trust AFM, half the stuff on my car is from them.

I'm running the Snow Performance kit with my KB and see no issues. The nozzle actually atomizes the spray and it is carried into the s/c by the airflow created as the kb forces compressed air into the lower intake. I have been very impressed with the snow kit, especially after being able to put my hand on the s/c after a dyno run; the kb was actually cold!

thats not totaly true, if you use the mr freeze in conjunction with the AFM PMS it will warn you.(edit : it actually changes fuel pressure and timing according to your air charge temps, not warn you) i'll post up a link where it says it.

edit: read under the pic where rick anderson is sitting in the car. the very last part of that.

if i ever get this god danm turbo kit in. i was planning on using the PMS as a tuner, and then getting the mr.freeze.
the only thing that might hold me back is if i can't use like straight methenol, or alcohol. cause that's what i would like to spray with the kit none of that water down stuff. but if the components of the kit will melts using straight alcohol, or methenol, i'll have to look for an alternative.

what are your intake air temps?

mine are often 200+.

where are you injecting the methanol?

is your air charge temp sensor in the lower intake?

Okay here's my biased opinion on the whole thing.

For the extra money you get the following from Snow Performance:
1)150psi pump

2)Variable Controller: which will allow you to set when the kit turns-on (55% flow) and full-on. This controller also makes it easier to tune your combo. This is huge when trying to dial in your tune.

3) 2qt reservoir: Larger container than Mr. Freeze.

4) 3 differnet sized nozzles to aid in dialing in your combo.

5) Those are the majors difference but a few minors ones are that you get 2 cool Snow Performance stickers

Hopefully thats enough because I thinks that's about it.
