I went through this a couple years ago. This last year was very bad for me so I had to sell both the Bronco and the Mazda. Now I'm putting Blizzaks on my Pony and hoping for the best. I know there will be days that I won't be able to get her out of the garage so it will be the bus for me.

Man you guys actually drive in that stuff?
In Tx...if there is any snow or sleet on the roads, everything pretty much just shuts down LOL.

oo yeah and its fun in a rwd or 4x4 vehicle lol.....drifting in the snow is so fun haha

this is just a small snow fall, but it is depressing because it means its the end of the stang season for good!

usually we get around 30cm each snowfall! some snowfalls occasionally bring 2 feet lol

Well, ya at the 6" and drifting level, it's best to just stay home.

The most unplowed roads I have traveled on in my 04 so far is about 3-4" max. With the Blizzaks, she walked right through it.

The notch is hybernating, no salt for that old girl.

I've done at least 3-4" unplowed in my stangs with standard all season tires. It definately isn't fun, but I could get around. More and it gets difficult very quickly.

Here, we get regular snows every winter, but the roads are always cleared quickly. Ussually, within 4-6hrs of the snow fall, the streets are plowed. Within 24-36hrs, the streets are dry or only wet. I have no problem driving my stang in the snow and was out and about today as we were getting 2". You just have to drive slowly and carefully. A bit of weight in the trunk helps, and keep good tires on the car.

No way.

Not because of the snow, but because of the salt. I'll take my second cars that take the winter beating (and lower my insurance) any time.

Take the Blizzak money and buy a winter beater :nice:

thats how it is here. a slight dusting of snow and everyone goes crazy.

last year we had some flurries and some SLIGHT freezing. i was on my way to work and people had stopped at a bridge letting other cars go across one at a time. i passed them in the wrong lane after waiting about 5 min to cross that damn bridge:notnice:

We didn't get that much in KC. I think we got about 1 inch. I'm driving my truck now. Go luck with the Stang. I got the Stang stuck in the driveway the first yr I got it. I was trying to get it in the garage. It's in there now. Pearl02.

damn we get no snow what so ever in houston .. we got some about 4 yrs ago and the **** is that i was in mexico visiting family lol so basically i never seen snow .. but i just seen the news and itssnowing up in austin right now so we will see if it hits us .. thats bad cause my stang is my only car lol...

superstang i know excactly how you feel man... we got a ton of snow and i'm stuck driving the slowest 4cyl wrangler in existance....all i want right now is to just drive my car for like 3 minutes... i don't care if it's just up and down my road... salt sucks and my car will never see it and until winter is gone, the only thing getting out my chitty road is 4wd vehicles....

i did however go out to the garage and uncover her and start her up yesterday and let her run for like 10 minutes... and i threw in a couple revvs here and there...god i love the sound of my car
just made me want to drive it even more though...

We don't salt our streets in Colorado. We use some sort of chemical mix with sand. No salt problems here that I know of. $445 for blizzaks will not buy me a winter beater. I'll get another Bronco by next year.
