So I had to match a coffin today...

Well I work ar Sherwin-Williams, and I always have to match paint for people. But today some guy comes in a moving truck and walks in all nervous looking. He wanted me to come outside and match something for him..

Well i had to match a coffin. I dont know why he had it, I dont know what he was doinf with it, all I know is that the color of it was SW6048 with an extra OZ. of black colorant.

Around here the coffins will actually float up with heavy rain. but only from one cometary. I remember when i was little, I saw one floating down the road.

i thought coffins were stained and laquered, or just a bunch of coats of lacquer depending on the wood?

i'm a painter by trade, i always look at these things.

I didn't think they were all wood. I'm happy to say I haven't examined that many up close.

This one was mostly stained and sealed, but he had a trim area on the bottom that was scratched up.

hmmmm funny u mentioned this coffin... some guy in my area on CraigsList was just sellin a hearse w/ optional coffin that was "never used"
