If its the one that attaches to the handle itself, that's not a big deal to fix. But it's a PITA to remove and install the individual cables that go to each wheel. I didn't enjoy that when I did my 5-lug conv.
It's an easy replacement. Just check the hanes manual while your at the store getting the cable. There are 2 slightly different procedures to follow depending on the year of the car.

I haven't done a e-Brake cable switch-a-roo but to get good easy acess to the brake lever, the console has to come off.... It's not too hard to take out though.
Maybe while you have it out you can repair your ashtray door spring (if it's broken)
