10 cent snap pin most likely. Easy fix, no reason to junk the trans

lol this is an old topic, it was the small retaining ring and while i had my t5 out i just had it rebuilt, running smooth as silk now.

when it does finally go, and it will, get a T-56 and be done with it. God i love having 6 gears and a strong tranny.
